Over the last 36 years I have gardened on and off. Some times beaten by drought, other times, due to work and family commitments, it became secondary to the many important things at the time. Today, gardening has become one of the important things as I now have more time and a wonderful supply of bore water which has renewed my love of growing fresh veggies, fruit and flowers and allowed me to dig, plant, harvest and enjoy the wonderful plant world.

Growing up my Dad had a small veggie garden in the middle of the paddock defined by a metre high fence to keep the rabbits and kangeroos out. He grew the basics, tomatoes beans and pumpkins. It was a labour of love as every plant was hand watered using 5 gallon buckets (18kgs each ) carried 100 metres 2 at a time. Not something as a child I could help with. I did enjoy helping with the picking of the beans and tomatoes though. As an adult, whenever possible, I have had some sort of a garden with varying degrees of success.
In 2019 a new veggie garden was made and that marked the beginning of a time when vegetable gardening became a serious hobby and interest for me.

Let me share my gardening journey with you.
